From Pino Gris to Chardonnay and ARDESIA – welcome to Marugg Winery, where an extensive wine portfolio meets international acclaim.

Nestled in the scenic landscape of Fläsch, Thomas Marugg Winery has grown into a brand synonymous with quality and variety. It’s not just about tradition, however, it’s about pushing the envelope in winemaking. Established during the comprehensive melioration of Fläsch from 1968 to 1974, the estate has come a long way since it first sold grapes to local retailers. “Since 1989, the entire grape harvest was being processed and marketed on our estate,” explains vintner Thomas Marugg who has taken the estate over from his parents.

The spotlight shines brightly on Marugg’s impressive line-up of wines. Take a sip of their classic Riesling-Sylvaner or enjoy the robust flavours of Pinot Gris. Revel in the elegance of their Chardonnay Classic, or be captivated by LE GRAND Chardonnay, aged in Barrique barrels. The Federweiss offers a unique spin on Pinot Noir, while their Schiller, a speciality from Graubünden, blends Pinot Noir and Riesling-Sylvaner into a rosé of distinction. And let’s not forget ARDESIA, the estate’s bestselling red, a blend aged for 24 months that serves as a cornerstone of their collection. Thomas Marugg adds: “Our wide selection allows us to offer something special for every wine lover.”

Accolades have followed suit, with their Pinot Noir winning the prestigious Grande Médaille D’or at the Mondial du Pinot Noir in Sierre, and their Riesling-Sylvaner taking first place at the Grand Prix de Vin Suisse in Bern. “These awards fuel our ambition to keep creating outstanding wines,” Thomas Marugg emphasises. Committed to sustainable practices, the winery equally values its relationship with nature: “We relish our role as vintners, from working in tune with the land to the care we give to our young wines in the cellar.”

The winery also opens its doors for special events like the Weinfest Fläsch every four years, and the annual Weinerlebnis Fläsch. Come for the variety, stay for the quality and leave as part of their ever-expanding story.
