Can you really trust your eyes? Well, no. Our senses are actually easily deceived, and precisely how that happens, visitors of all age groups can now experience close-up in the WOW Museum in Zurich.

Illusions have their origin in the depth of human psychology. “Every person sees things differently,” says museum founder Vanessa Kammerman. Our brain automatically fills gaps in our perception based on unique experiences and often plays a trick on our mind. In the WOW’s 12 different rooms, visitors can experience this first-hand. The museum is great fun for young and old, and is very accessible even for people who normally might not like museums.

WOW Museum: DISCOVERING AND UNDERSTANDING THE WORLD OF ILLUSIONS

Patterns to get lost in.

The play with illusions already starts in the entrance hall. Zurich’s largest WOW logo reflects in the mirrored ceiling and thus creates the word MOM. “It connects both of my worlds as museum owner and mother,” says Vanessa Kammermann. For the mother of four, the museum is “like a fifth baby”. Her personal highlight is the Infinity Room, with 20,000 programmable LEDs and three unparalleled music shows. A unique experience.

The museum is suitable for schools as well as companies who can book the WOW for training sessions or teambuilding. It’s a museum in its own league.

DIE WELT DER ILLUSIONEN ENTDECKEN UND VERSTEHEN

Kann man seinen Augen wirklich immer trauen? Nein!
