What began in 2004 as a small startup in a basement has grown into a rapidly expanding provider of compliance software based in Germany.

Founded by Marcus Rau and Matthias Pätzold, Rausoft specialises in developing intelligent software solutions that ensure legal compliance without disrupting or overcomplicating business operations.

“We wanted to create solutions that are efficient, legally sound and affordable,” explains managing director Marcus Rau. “ID.prove was our answer to the growing demand for sanctions list screening.”

How does the software work? ID.prove automatically checks customers, suppliers and employees against current national and international sanctions lists. The software also takes into account connections to sanctioned individuals, beneficial owners, organisations, aircraft or vessels. The results of the checks are then reliably and legally documented.

“What is often overlooked is that the screening against sanctions lists is also relevant for companies that solely operate nationally,” adds Matthias Pätzold. “Another commonly missed aspect is the so-called negative screening. Meaning that even if no match is found, a company or organisation must always be able to prove that it has complied with its screening obligations. This is particularly important for internal audits or inspections by regulatory authorities.”

ID.prove is modular in design, making it highly adaptable to the specific needs of different companies, whether small businesses, medium-sized firms or international corporations. “Our customers appreciate that we offer tailored packages with transparent and predictable pricing,” stresses Rau.

As a result, the software is used in a variety of sectors, ranging from industrial companies and financial service providers to healthcare, public institutions and operators of critical infrastructure. “In high-security sectors such as aviation, for example at major airports, or energy supply, many rely on our solution,” explains Pätzold.

Another key advantage: costs are not based on the volume of checks. “Our customers pay for the solution, not for each check,” says Pätzold. “This ensures transparency and allows for predictable budgeting.”

Rausoft is already planning ahead with new solutions to meet future compliance challenges. “With LkSGflow and CS3Dflow, we are currently working on software that helps companies comply with the German Supply Chain Due Diligence Act and the European CSDDD. At the same time, we are testing DocuDog, an intelligent assistant for deadline tracking and document organisation. These tools are already being tested by selected customers,” relates Rau.

“We are also making great progress internationally. We are currently expanding the use of ID.prove beyond the DACH region, thus tapping into new European markets,” concludes Pätzold.

ID.prove: Effiziente Compliance mit maximaler Rechtssicherheit

Was 2004 als kleines Start-up im Keller begann, ist heute ein stark wachsender Anbieter für Compliance-Software mit Sitz in Deutschland.

Was leistet die Software? ID.prove prüft automatisch Kunden, Lieferanten und Mitarbeitende anhand tagesaktueller nationaler und internationaler Sanktionslisten. Dabei berücksichtigt die Software auch Beteiligungen sanktionierter Personen, wirtschaftlich Berechtigter, Organisationen, Flugzeugen oder auch Schiffen. Die Ergebnisse der Überprüfung werden anschließend zuverlässig und rechtssicher dokumentiert.

„Was oft übersehen wird: Die Prüfung von Sanktionslisten ist auch für Unternehmen relevant, die ausschließlich im Inland tätig sind. Ein weiterer oft übersehener Punkt ist die sogenannte Negativprüfung“, fügt Matthias Pätzold hinzu. „Denn auch wenn kein Treffer vorliegt, muss immer nachgewiesen werden können, dass ein Unternehmen oder eine Organisation der Prüfpflicht nachgekommen ist. Ein wichtiger Aspekt bei internen Audits oder Kontrollen durch Aufsichtsbehörden.”

ID.prove ist modular aufgebaut und lässt sich dadurch flexibel an die individuellen Anforderungen verschiedener Unternehmen anpassen, egal ob Kleinbetrieb, Mittelständler oder internationaler Konzern. „Unsere Kunden schätzen, dass wir ihnen maßgeschneiderte Pakete anbieten, deren Kosten klar und transparent sind”, betont Rau.

Die Einsatzbereiche sind entsprechend breit gefächert: ID.prove wird unter anderem von Industrieunternehmen, Finanzdienstleistern, dem Gesundheitswesen, öffentlichen Institutionen sowie Betreibern kritischer Infrastrukturen genutzt. „Besonders im Bereich der Luftfahrt, etwa bei großen Flughäfen, sowie der Energieversorgung setzen Unternehmen aus dem sicherheitsrelevanten Sektor auf unsere Lösung”, erklärt Pätzold.

Ein weiterer Vorteil: Die Kosten sind unabhängig vom Prüfvolumen. „Unsere Kunden zahlen für die Lösung, nicht für jede einzelne Abfrage“, so Pätzold. „Das schafft Transparenz und sorgt für Planbarkeit der Kosten.“

Rausoft hat die Herausforderungen der Zukunft im Blick und arbeitet schon heute an den Lösungen. „Mit LkSGflow und CS3Dflow arbeiten wir derzeit an einer Software, die Unternehmen bei der Einhaltung des deutschen Lieferkettensorgfaltspflichtengesetzes und der europäischen CSDDD unterstützt. Gleichzeitig testen wir mit DocuDog einen intelligenten Assistenten zur Fristenkontrolle und Dokumentenorganisation. Die Tools befinden sich bereits im Pilottest bei ausgewählten Kunden”, beschreibt Rau.

„Auch international sind wir auf einem guten Weg. Aktuell bauen wir den Einsatz von ID.prove gezielt über die DACH-Region hinaus aus und erschließen damit neue europäische Märkte”, schließt Pätzold.
