Forbo Flooring is one of the world’s leading manufacturers for linoleum, vinyl and textile floor coverings, which perfectly combine design and functionality. At this year’s Orgatec trade fair in Cologne, the company will present its outstanding ‘Office’ solution created in cooperation with French star designer Philippe Starck.

Whether it is architecture, interior design or a reinterpretation of everyday objects, Starck always aims at improving the lives of as many people as possible.

For the new floor covering collection FLOTEX BY STARCK, a high-resolution digital printing technique is used to bring Starck’s designs onto the unique textile floor covering FLOTEX. Each design is based on several elements and offers almost unlimited combination possibilities for sophisticated images on the ground.

FLOTEX BY STARCK also combines textile comfort with the durability and low maintenance features of elastic floorings. Due to its waterproof vinyl side, FLOTEX is qualified for wet cleaning and is slip resistant under dry and wet conditions. Furthermore, the high acoustic impact reduction supports silence and concentration in the room.

“Flotex can also be used by allergy sufferers,” explains Jens Puda, Head of Marketing for Forbo Flooring Germany, Austria and Switzerland. “The Nylon 6.6 fibres bind fine dust, allergens and odours in the air, which creates a more convenient indoor climate.”

The visionary FLOTEX BY STARCK edition will be introduced at Orgatec 2018 in Cologne: hall 5.2, A004.

Doch nicht nur künstlerisch, auch qualitativ überzeugt FLOTEX BY STARCK. Denn dieser Belag kombiniert textilen Komfort mit der Strapazierfähigkeit und Pflegeleichtigkeit eines elastischen Bodens. Dank wasserundurchlässigem Vinylrücken ist eine Nassreinigung möglich und ein sicherer Auftritt sowohl im trockenen als auch im nassen Zustand garantiert. Die hohe Trittschallminderung fördert zudem Ruhe und Konzentration im Raum.
