Established for decades and as popular as always: Dual turntables

D ual’s history had already started as far back as around 1900 and, by the 1950s, Dual turntables were firmly established. In today’s era of digital media, Dual keeps up with all technological advances and continues to demonstrate that quality prevails. The sound of a vinyl record is something that simply remains more natural and arguably better than that of its digital alternatives.

Do you prioritise nostalgia or quality? Well there is actually no need to choose, as Dual’s Christian Fröhling explains: “The speciality of a turntable is that an extremely large frequency range is covered while it’s scanning and playing.” This means that the sound is simply more natural compared to digital media such as CDs.

“Another tried and tested speciality of the devices is that most of the models are fully automated. This particular technique is unique worldwide, and functions in a purely mechanical way,” he says. “There are no negative influences, by electric fields, for example.”

The turntables are still produced in St. Georgen in the Black Forest. In order to ensure the renowned high standard of quality, Dual almost exclusively works with regional suppliers. Just recently, the new model CS 526 was awarded the ‘Golden Ear’ by the professional journal Stereoplay.

It doesn’t matter if you are a young vinyl novice or if you grew up with Dual devices: the quality speaks for itself.
