Following the motto ‘Social & green IT’, the non-profit AfB Group offers IT-Remarketing for European companies and public institutions. They refurbish discarded business hardware and remarket it; sustainably and following strict data protection regulations.

A straight-forward concept: AfB Group acquires discarded IT and mobile devices and erases any data securely and irrevocably before refurbishing the hardware.

These refurbished up-graded devices are then sold with a 12-month warranty via the AfB shops to consumers, small and medium-sized companies, schools and non-profit organisations. Considering the finite nature of our global resources and the enormous amount that goes into electronic devices, re-using them certainly does make sense.

Aside from the ecological benefit, there is also an added social value. In German, AfB stands for ‘work for people with disabilities’. Hence, around half of the employees that are taken on by AfB categorise themselves as having a disability in one way or another.

Ein klares Konzept: Die AfB Group übernimmt ausgemusterte IT- und Mobilgeräte, löscht die darauf befindlichen Daten sicher und unwiderruflich, und bereitet die Hardware neu auf.

So entstehen generalüberholte Geräte mit mindestens 12 Monaten Garantie, die über die AfB Shops an Privatleute, kleine und mittelständische Unternehmen, Schulen und Non-Profit-Organisationen verkauft werden. Bedenkt man die Endlichkeit der weltweiten Ressourcen und wie viele Rohstoffe in Elektronikgeräten stecken, ergibt die Zweitnutzung absolut Sinn.

Neben dem ökologischen Vorteil schafft man zudem auch einen sozialen Mehrwert, denn AfB steht für ‚Arbeit für Menschen mit Behinderungen‘. Demensprechend werden hier zur Hälfte Mitarbeitende mit Behinderung beschäftigt.
