Loft99: Industrial charm meets modern atmosphere

Loft99 combines the atmosphere of an Alpine setting with a modern, versatile space full of character and charm.

The idea for Loft99 grew out of a personal vision to create a special place where people can come together and experience unforgettable moments. “What makes our venue special is, above all, the ability to tailor events to our guests’ individual wishes,” explains Alessandra Schraemli of Alpine Restaurants.

“The history of the place also plays an important role. After all, what is now a space for celebrations, meetings and entertainment used to be an auto repair shop!” It is the blend of history, industrial charm and modern event atmosphere that gives Loft99 its special vibe. From the temporary use as a storage facility soon arose the desire to rethink the space as an event venue. “Loft99 is essentially the logical next step in the evolution of our existing catering company,” Schraemli states. “It combines our culinary expertise with a permanent venue where we can organise events holistically and under one roof.”

Diverse guests – tailored catering

Loft99 opened in August 2024 and has since hosted numerous events of all kinds. “It’s wonderful for us to see how the space changes every time – depending on who our guests are and the story behind each occasion.” Versatility has been an important part of the vision from the very beginning, because the guests are so diverse – which is exactly what makes Loft99 so exciting, says Schraemli. “We provide support to couples on their wedding day, to families and friends at birthdays and private celebrations, as well as to companies for corporate events, presentations, lectures or concerts – and more.” Whether a small, intimate celebration or a corporate event, the goal is to work closely with the guests to create an unforgettable, tailored event.

Loft99 is developed continuously to create space for new ideas, reveals Schraemli. For example, there is the original American school bus that has been lovingly converted into a food truck. It was named Aviöl, which means bee in Romansh – symbolising diligence, movement and community – thus fitting well with the company’s philosophy. At the same time, it is essential that Loft99 retains its personal character: “Our goal is to preserve a place that can constantly reinvent itself and continue to grow with every event.”
