Harald Stricker stands for the further development of modern architecture. Modernism and modern art have been characterised by the principle of abstraction, a concept that can be transferred to architecture as an aesthetic base frame. Asymmetric and cubic forms works as the main characteristics of modern architecture, both of which can be found in Stricker’s work. The Magdeburg opera building is one of Stricker’s main projects – a challenging masterpieces that has well landed him on the map over the most sought after and admired architects in the region.
