It states that every second company only thinks about filling age-related vacancies when they nally arise and do not plan accordingly. Management has become strategically more relevant and personnel planning more complicated. Every second company names the grown requirements – for example the digital transformation or the dynamic of markets – as one of the main obstacles. But less than one in three companies has a proactive approach to deal with the challenges of arising vacancies through age or other reasons. Strategic succession planning is very rare – and the implementation incomplete.
